One is challenged to give due credit to the internationally acclaimed Chef Michaelis Dounetas in just one short paragraph. A lifelong love for all that is genuine; he has worked with deep respect for his roots and for the best that Greece has to offer. Trained in the most renowned schools of haute cuisine and pastry Chefs of Europe, Mr. Dounetas today teaches and empowers the next generation of young Chefs at the “Le Monde’ institute of Athens. Esteemed member of the Eurotoques and the Athens Chef’s Club, his cuisine has been influenced by such diverse cultures as that of Morocco, Italy and Cuba. Chef Dounetas has succeeded in marrying the best of traditional Greek dishes with Mediterranean cuisine whilst, striving to meet modern day demands of an ever growing international clientele seeking new flavours and variations to old time classics.

He has left his seal of excellence on some of the most established restaurants of Greece as well as abroad and we at the Chrisovoulo are honoured to be a part of his trademark.

As a culinary artiste in his own right, Chef Dounetas aims to entice your palate with the flavours and ‘colours’ that the bountiful Laconian region grants each guest, bringing forth gastronomic delights surpassing every expectation.
