The harbor of Gerakas

At a distance of a mere 30 minutes from Monemvasia, the small harbor of Geraka holds a closely kept secret of astonishing natural beauty. The one and only fjord of Greece is located here at the southernmost point of Europe.

Born of a sea lagoon, this remarkable beauty spot is a haven for many a rare species of bird and indigenous flora. A treasure trove for bird watchers worldwide.
