The caves of Kastania

30 minutes south of Neapoli, one can visit spectacular underground caves with a kaleidoscope of earthly colours and formations of lime stone stalactites. These caves are also known as the caves of St. Andreas. Recognized as 2nd of its kind in Europe, a visit will grant you a unique view of nature’s artistry in ‘sculptures’ that have formed over millennia. As of the end of June and for the duration of the summer season, the caves are open to the public every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. (last visiting time at 3.30 p.m.).
